HISTORY AND LOCATION: If the name of Château Poujeaux only appeared in 1806, « the soil of Poujeaux » has been known since the Middle Ages. Successively, seignory depending of Latour St Mambert - future Ch. Latour - dependancy of Ch. Beychevelle in the XVIIIth century, owned by the Theil family from 1921 to 2008, it was recently acquired by the Cuvelier family. At the north-east of Château Poujeaux vineyard, in the city of Lamarque and at the west of the city of Moulis. 

VINEYARD AREA: 4 hectares in Haut-Médoc out of the total 68 hectares
SOIL: Garonne gravels
GRAPE VARIETIES: 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 55% Merlot Age of the vines: 35
VINIFICATION: Vinification in thermoregulated stainless steel vats. 
AGEING: During one year, aged in oak barrels of 2 and 3 wines. 
PRODUCTION: About 20,000 bottles per year Cru bourgeois Exceptionnel Member of the union des Grands Crus
