Here's Chef Ed's delectable Wine Dinner menu with Dana McLean Kuhn from Masciarelli Wine company, pairing the perfect wines to complement the menu:
Marinated Tomato and Fresh mozzarella with garlic, roasted peppers, sundried tomatoes, olive oil and balsamic served with garlic rubbed grilled Tuscan bread.
-Casale del Giglio Satrico, Lazio, Italy
A blend of 40% Chardonnay, 40% Sauvignon and 20% Trebbiano Giallo grapes. A bright
straw-yellow, this elegant blend reveals a fruity, lightly aromatic yet mineral
nose, confirmed on the palate by a pleasing crispness and a lengthy finish.
Pizza Quatro Gusti (basil, prosciutto, artichoke and mushroom)
-Valori Cerasuolo, Abruzzo , Italy
with skin contact limited to 24 hours, giving it a vibrant color, aroma and
palate. The bouquet is intense and elegant. The palate shows flavors that are
fruity and floral (sour black berry - violet, lilac)
-Masciarelli Montepulciano, Abruzzo, Italy
100% Montepulciano. Ripe cherry and rose
aromas dance with bright flavors of cherries, berries and a perfectly balanced
blend of tannins and acid.

-Accordini Valpolicella Classico Veneto,Italy
65% Corvina, 35% Rondinella, 5% Molinara. Medium bodied, bright ruby
red with a fresh bouquet. Aged 2 months in the bottle. Meant to be drunk young to
enjoy its fresh flavors.

100% Sangiovese. Briefly passed through oak and aged harmoneously in
the bottle. Visually deep ruby red. The nose reveals hints of rose, cherry and
sweet spices. The palate is fresh, medium-bodied with rounded tannins and a
remarkably long finish.

About the Back Eddy After many years working as private chefs to celebrities including Jimmy Buffett, Neil Young, Rupert Murdoch and Roy Scheider, we wanted to open our own restaurant to share our love of fresh cuisine with the public, which we did in 2008. The Back Eddy just celebrated our 7th anniversary April 25th 2015 in Venice! We've loved getting to know our customers and seeing how much they enjoy our food and atmosphere. Come swim against the tide and join our entertaining variety of regulars who love to eat, drink and socialize the Back Eddy way. We hope you'll visit us soon and often. Spread the Word.
