Nera Valtellina Superiore Grumello Riserva

Nera Valtellina Superiore Grumello Riserva

Grapes Produced only with Nebbiolo grapes, locally called "Chiavennasca", carefully selected from our hystoric vineyards.

Features and curiosity
We take particular care of our House Reserve Wines, beginning with the growing of the wines and the choice of the best vintages and ending with the wine making and ageing. The grape is exclusively Nebbiolo; cultivation techniques, particularly pruning and maturing, must not allow more than 60 q/ha grape production. The harvest is delayed to the end of october or the beginning of november, to allow a partial wilthering of the grapes on the plants (late harvest). According to the disciplinary measures for "Valtellina Superiore D.O.C.G." production a wine can be given the qualify of "Riserva" only after a refining of 36 months, 12 of them in oak barrels.
