Hartenberg Chardonnay

Made from five different clones, grapes are picked in the early morning by hand, over nine days. They are then crushed and immediately pressed, without any skin contact. After being transferred to House Toast French oak barrels for fermentation, the wine is stirred twice monthly for the first six months, then monthly thereafter.

Our Chardonnay is always bottled in summer, after filtering.

Barrel Ageing:         12 months French Oak (225litre) 33 % new, 33% 2nd fill. Balancein 3rd fill barrels. Fermented & matured

  • Residual Sugar:      2.8 g/l

  • Total Acid:               6.5 g/l

  • pH:                         3.24

Tasting Notes

Fresh lemon and lime followed by a creamy nuttiness on the nose. This wine has a complex structure with a vibrant crisp palate following into an elegant oak finish.
